What it is: OZiva ACV Moringa, sold in India as OZiva Metabolic ACV Moringa, is a tube of 15 effervescent tablets that you dissolve in water. Each tablet contains 750mg of apple cider vinegar (6% acetic acid) with moringa leaf extract (Moringa oleifera), cinnamon bark extract and guggul. It is sweetened with stevia and contains no added sugar or maltodextrin.
What’s in OZiva ACV Moringa
- Apple cider vinegar powder: 750mg per tablet, standardised to 6% acetic acid
- Moringa leaf extract (Moringa oleifera): about 4.7% of the tablet
- Cinnamon bark extract: about 3.5%
- Guggul gum resin extract (Commiphora wightii): about 0.6%
- Other ingredients: sodium bicarbonate and citric acid (these create the fizz), natural and nature-identical flavouring, polyethylene glycol and stevia (INS 960). The green apple version is coloured with beetroot red, and the lemon masala version includes a masala spice mix.
- Flavours: green apple or lemon masala
The product is labelled vegetarian. It is made in a facility that also handles soy, nuts, wheat and milk. It is made in Himachal Pradesh for Zywie Ventures, the company behind OZiva.
How it’s traditionally used
Moringa, known in Ayurveda as Shigru, is a leafy tree used in Indian cooking and Ayurvedic practice for centuries. It is traditionally considered pungent and warming and is used to balance Kapha and Vata. The leaves are valued as a naturally nutrient-dense green.
Guggul, a resin from the Commiphora wightii shrub, is one of Ayurveda’s best-known Kapha-balancing ingredients and appears in classical formulas such as Triphala Guggulu. Cinnamon (Twak) is a warming spice used to kindle agni, the digestive fire. Apple cider vinegar comes from Western folk tradition rather than Ayurveda. Here it is combined with these three Ayurvedic plants in a fizzy drink format.
How to take it
The manufacturer suggests dissolving one tablet in about 200ml of water and drinking it before the fizz settles. Take one tablet before lunch and one before dinner, or as advised by a healthcare professional. Do not swallow the tablet whole. At two tablets a day, a 15-tablet tube lasts about a week. At one tablet a day, it lasts just over two weeks.
Who it suits — and who should check first
- Suits: people who like the idea of apple cider vinegar but not the taste of the liquid, and who prefer a pleasant drink to swallowing capsules.
- Teeth: vinegar is acidic. Drinking it fully dissolved, ideally through a straw, and rinsing with plain water afterwards helps protect tooth enamel.
- Sodium: effervescent tablets use sodium bicarbonate, so take this into account if you have been advised to limit salt.
- Guggul: avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Check with your GP or pharmacist if you take thyroid medication, blood thinners or hormonal contraception.
- Allergens: the factory also handles soy, nuts, wheat and milk.
- OZiva states the product is intended for adults.
How it compares
Liquid apple cider vinegar is cheaper per serving, but it is sharp to drink and harder on teeth if you do not dilute it. ACV capsules have no taste but no fizz either. Plain moringa powder or capsules give you more moringa per serving, because in this tablet the vinegar is the main ingredient and moringa is a supporting botanical.
Common questions
Does it contain sugar?
No added sugar or maltodextrin is listed. The tablets are sweetened with stevia.
How much water should I use?
About 200ml, roughly a standard glass. Drink it while it is still fizzing.
Which flavour should I choose?
Green apple is sweet-tart. Lemon masala has a savoury, spiced profile, similar to an Indian nimbu pani.
Can I swallow the tablet?
No. The manufacturer specifically says to dissolve it in water first.
