If you are starting from scratch, start here. Ashwagandha, triphala and turmeric are the three preparations almost every Ayurvedic cabinet in India begins with, and between them they cover morning, evening and night. Nothing in this kit is unusual or hard to take.

How to take it, day to day
Morning
- Curcumin with Piperine — 1 tablet with breakfast, with food that has some fat in it.
Evening
- Organic Ashwagandha — 1 tablet after your evening meal.
Before bed
- Triphala — 1 capsule with warm water before bed. This is the classical time for triphala.
Timing conventions in Ayurveda are conventions, not rules. The single thing that matters most is taking it at the same time each day, because that is the routine you will actually keep. Always follow the recommended daily portion printed on each individual pack, and never exceed it.
Your 90-day course
We have written this kit as a course rather than a pile of bottles. The point of adding products one at a time is simple: if something does not agree with you, you know exactly which one it was.
- Days 1 to 7 — turmeric only. One tablet with breakfast. Turmeric is the most familiar thing in the kit and the easiest place to begin.
- Days 8 to 21 — add the triphala at night. One capsule with warm water before bed. Triphala is strongly astringent; in capsule form you will not taste it, but it is worth knowing what you are taking.
- Days 22 to 90 — add the ashwagandha. One tablet after your evening meal. You now have a morning, evening and night step, which is the shape a traditional Ayurvedic routine takes.
- Day 90 — review, then go deeper. Most people who complete this kit move on to either the Digestion Kit or one of the Foundation kits for women or men, keeping whichever of these three they got on with.
How long the kit lasts, and when to reorder
All three run about 60 days at one a day. Built up as above, the kit lasts roughly two months.
Every product in this kit is also sold on its own, and most are available as a Monthly Plan — one, two or three months at a time, at a lower price per pack. Once you know what you are keeping, that is usually the cheaper way to continue.
Nutrition information
No authorised nutrition or health claim applies to the botanicals in this kit, so we have not made one. What follows is what each herb is, where it comes from, and how it is traditionally taken.
Under UK law we may only state nutrition and health claims that appear on the Great Britain Nutrition and Health Claims Register, and those claims belong to the specific nutrient rather than to the product as a whole. Where a kit contains no nutrient with an authorised claim, we say so rather than implying something we are not permitted to state. Everything else on this page describes what the ingredients are, where they come from and how they are traditionally prepared.
The ingredients, in detail
Organic Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Part used: Root. When it is taken: Evening, after food.
Certified organic root, pressed into a 670mg tablet. Ashwagandha is one of the most widely cultivated herbs in India and its Sanskrit name translates roughly as the smell of a horse, a reference to the strong scent of the fresh root. In the tradition it is prepared as a powder and stirred into warm milk at the end of the day.
Triphala (Three-fruit blend)
Part used: Fruit. When it is taken: Night, before bed.
The classical three-fruit formulation: amalaki (Emblica officinalis), bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) and haritaki (Terminalia chebula), in equal parts. Probably the single most-used preparation in the whole Ayurvedic tradition. Convenient capsule format.
Curcumin with Piperine (Curcuma longa + Piper nigrum)
Part used: Rhizome + fruit. When it is taken: Morning, with food.
Turmeric extract formulated with piperine, the active compound in black pepper. This mirrors the classical Indian kitchen pairing of haldi and kali mirch.
Questions people ask
I have never taken Ayurvedic supplements before. Is this the right kit?
Yes, that is exactly who it is for. Three well-known preparations, one at a time, at a lower price than buying them separately.
Why is the triphala taken at night?
Convention, and a practical one. In the tradition triphala is stirred into warm water and drunk before bed. The capsule keeps the timing and skips the taste.
How is buying the kit different from buying the products separately?
You get exactly the same sealed retail packs — nothing is decanted or repackaged — for £7.97 less. You also get the routine and the 90-day plan above, which is the part most people actually want.
What if I miss a day?
Take it as normal the next day. Do not double up to catch up.
Can I take this alongside other supplements?
Usually, but check the labels for overlapping ingredients so you are not taking two of the same thing. If in doubt, speak to a pharmacist.
Can I take this if I am on medication?
Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before starting any food supplement if you take prescribed medication, or if you are under medical supervision. We are not able to advise on interactions.
Where do these products come from?
All of them are made in India by established manufacturers and shipped to us in the UK. Each pack carries its own manufacturer, batch code and best-before date, which you can read on the pack when it arrives.
Is everything in the kit vegetarian?
Check each individual pack, which carries its own full ingredient list and allergen declaration. Capsule shells vary by manufacturer.
How is the kit delivered?
As separate sealed retail packs in one parcel, shipped from India to your UK address.
