Baidyanath

Baidyanath (Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan) was founded in Kolkata in 1917 and is one of the oldest classical Ayurvedic manufacturers still operating in India, with a catalogue of several hundred shastric formulations made to the recipes recorded in the traditional Ayurvedic texts. At KantiGlow you can buy authentic Baidyanath products in the UK — genuine Indian-market packs, batch lab-tested for purity and heavy metals, dispatched from India within 24–72 hours with UK delivery in 5–7 working days.

About Baidyanath

Where Himalaya modernised Ayurveda into standardised extracts, Baidyanath kept to the classical pharmacopoeia. Its range is organised by the traditional dosage forms: churna (powders such as Avipattikar, Ashwagandhadi and Pushyanug), bati or vati (compressed tablets such as Chandraprabha Bati, Kutajghan Bati and Chitrakadi Bati), guggulu preparations (Gokshuradi, Trayodashang, Kaishore), ras formulations (Sutshekhar Ras) and pak (Musli Pak). Baidyanath also makes some of India’s best-known single herbs in modern formats — Giloy Satva, Shilajit, Hadjod and Tulsi tablets. The company runs GMP-certified plants in Jhansi, Patna, Nagpur and Kolkata and holds AYUSH licences for every formulation, and its products are the ones most likely to be recommended by name by a practising vaidya.

How to check your Baidyanath product is genuine

Genuine Baidyanath packs are printed in Hindi and English, show an AYUSH licence number, a batch number with manufacturing and expiry dates, and an MRP in Indian rupees. Classical products state the reference text (for example “Bhaishajya Ratnavali” or “Sharangadhar Samhita”) on the label. Every Baidyanath product on KantiGlow is bought from authorised Indian distributors and a sample from each shipment is sent for independent testing for heavy metals and microbial contamination before it goes on sale; certificates are available on request with your order number. Note that we deliberately do not list Baidyanath’s metal-based bhasma and pishti lines in the UK.

Choosing the right Baidyanath product

Single-herb products (Giloy Satva, Shilajit, Hadjod, Tulsi) are the easiest place to start if you are new to the brand. The classical multi-herb formulations — the batis, churnas and guggulus — are traditional compound recipes and are best chosen with the help of an Ayurvedic practitioner, or by reading the herb list on each product page. Churnas are loose powders usually taken with warm water; batis and guggulus are tablets, and their pack sizes (40, 60, 80 or 160 tablets) are shown in every product name so you can compare value. Our Giloy guide and Ashwagandha guide compare the Baidyanath versions against Dabur, Himalaya and Zandu.

Delivery of Baidyanath products to the UK

Orders are packed and dispatched from India within 24–72 hours and typically reach UK addresses in 5–7 working days, with tracking on every parcel. Our 30-day returns policy applies to every Baidyanath order. Baidyanath products are food supplements: they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease and should not replace a varied, balanced diet.
